About 10 years ago, when I first heard about gratitude as a practice, I had thoughts. Big, dramatic, eyeroll thoughts: “What the fuck? I’m busy complaining about my life over here. I don’t have time to stop and be grateful for stuff.”
Last week we explored the idea of “Pockets of Delight” - those tiny, delicious moments in your day that bring a feeling of ease, joy, calm, or connection. And today, I want to take it further.
To get you started on a similar quest, you can ask yourself where you feel you wanting. Or look at imagery, and see what feelings of desire come up, and ask yourself what those feelings really are.
